SCCDC invites residents, block captains, and community stakeholders in Camden, NJ and Philadelphia, PA to nominate vacant lots, distressed properties, or neighborhood blocks for structured review. Through our community-centered intake process, we evaluate properties for blight reduction, neighborhood revitalization, and attainable housing redevelopment potential.

If you know of a vacant property, unsafe structure, or underutilized lot that is impacting your neighborhood, you can submit it for evaluation through our formal review process.

How the Nomination Process Works

Step 1 – Submit Property or Block

Provide the property address, description of the issue, and contact information for follow-up.

Step 2 – Initial Screening

We review zoning designation, ownership status, and preliminary redevelopment feasibility.

Step 3 – Community Fit Evaluation

We evaluate alignment with SCCDC program capacity and neighborhood revitalization priorities.

Step 4 – Follow-Up

If viable, we contact the submitter regarding next steps and potential community engagement.

SCCDC’s nomination intake supports structured property review in neighborhoods experiencing vacancy, blight, or underinvestment. Our process complements municipal code enforcement efforts and focuses on long-term redevelopment potential rather than temporary remediation.

Residents in targeted ZIP codes are encouraged to participate in identifying properties that may benefit from stabilization, redevelopment planning, or community engagement programming.
